All students should have passed XII class of 10 + 2 in any group preferably science. Students should be medically fit. Age for entrance for nursing is from 17 yrs to 35 yrs.

3 and half year

The students to be eligible to appear for the Annual State Board Examination should have 75% of attendance, separately in lecture and clinical area.

	TRAINING PROGRAMME

The course in General Nursing shall be of three years duration as follows:

Two years theory and practice in General Nursing and one year Community Health Nursing and Midwifery, There will be alternate course for male students in lieu of midwifery. The ANM/LHV who to undertake the General Nursing course will not be given any concession.

The maximum hours per week per student shall be 36 hours which include instruction and clinical field experience

Hospital facilities :

For clinical practice and training a 218 bedded HAL hospital and a 40 bedded Yediyur Maternity Home of the Bangalore City Corporation is given us facilities. Students may be assigned for observing and practicing what they are learning under careful supervision of clinical instructions.
