There should be a Preliminary
Period of 12 weeks. During this time he/she will
attend the wards for observation and supervise
practice not exceeding 16 hours per week.
An Examination to assess
the students ability to continue the course shall
held in the 11th or 12th week. Only successful
candidates will be allowed to continue the course.
Computer basics & Personality development
classes are include in the curriculum. Year wise
distribution of weeks, days and hours is as follows:

Examination :
There will be 3 periodic sessional examination
in theory and practical during each academic year
in the college for maximum marks of 25 and the average
of the 3 examination will be considered as internal
assessment which will be sent to the examination
board.
Board Examination :
Exam will be conducted by the Karnataka State
Diploma in Nursing Examination Board every year
during the month of August. There will be 3 examinations
during the course, 1st, 2nd and 3rd year examination
separately. Supplementary examination will be held
in the month of February each year
If a student fails
in one theory paper, he/she may be promoted
to the next year of study he/she will
appear for the supplementary examination
held subsequently after six months for
the failed subject.
If
a student fails in two or more papers he/she
shall repeat the whole year.
Passing
the Practical examination is compulsory.
Failed candidate shall repeat the whole
year and appear for supplementary examination.
Class Test and Viva
:
Regular class test and viva of all subjects will
be conducted for the maximum marks of 20 and all
the students must get min. of 16 in all subjects
and marks to be entered in class test report (CTR)
