Examination :
 
At the end of each academic year there will be exams conducted by the university during November for theory and practical subject (Annual exam) and after a gap of 6 months for failures supplementary exam in the month of June.
   
MAIN SUBJECTS
 
A candidates is declared to have passed the examination in a subject, if he/she secures 50% of the marks in theory and 50% in practical separately. For a pass in theory, a candidate has to secure a minimum if 40% marks in the university conducted written examination, and 50% aggregate i.e marks scored in the university conducted written examination and internal assessment(theory), added together and for a pass in practicals, a candidate has to secure a minimum of 40% of the marks in university conducted practical examination and internal assessment (practical) added together.
   
SUBSIDIARY SUBJECTS
 
The Examination for subsidiary subjects shall be conducted by the respective colleges. For a pass in subsidiary subjects, a candidates shall secure 35% if the total marks prescribed for the subjects, and has to pass all the subsidiary subjects appearing for the final year University exams.
Declaration of class :
 
 

A successful candidate obtaining 75% and more marks in the grand total aggregate in the first attempt shall be declared to have passed these subjects with distinction.

A successful candidate obtaining 60% to 75% aggregate to total marks in the grand total in the first attempt shall be declared to have passed these subjects with first class.

A successful candidate obtaining 50%and more and less than 60% shall be declared to have passed these subjects with second class and candidate who passed in more than one attempt will be placed in pass class irrespective of the percentage of marks secured.

The marks obtained by a candidate in the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in the subject for which class examination are conducted shall not be considered for award of class of rank.
Ranks shall be declared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in the University subjects of the course. Only those candidates who have passed all the subjects of the University examination in the first attempt shall be eligible for the award of rank
 
   
Carry over benefit :
  A candidate is permitted to carry over the main subjects in each year as follows
